Gene and Peggy Headley, Glenda and Greg Hilt celebrated with Karen Gordon on her 50th birthday in Booth Bay Harbor, Maine, last week.

Todd Fix of McConnellsburg and Maggie and Mike Mellott of Chambersburg were guests of Atlanta Braves owner Mark Carleton at a recent Pittsburgh Pirates game.

Carole Mellott of Cold Springs held her family’s annual reunion on Saturday.

Kathleen Hill enjoyed having her granddaughter, Delaney, of Pasadena, Md., visit with her last week.

Bob and Teressa Carter and family vacationed in Rehobeth Beach, Del., for a week.

The Methodist Cito A.M.E. Church held its annual homecoming on Sunday. A lot of out-of-town visitors attended.

Sharon Glazier and grandson Conrad visited with her daughter, Tricia, and family of Massachusetts.

Cooper McGarvey visited on Monday with her relatives in the area. She will enter her second year at Penn State this week.

A high school graduation party was held on Sunday for Katelynn Mellott in the home of her grandparents, Bob and Petie Miller. She and her mother, Kate, recently spent three weeks in Europe.

Visiting with the Millers recently were Bob’s brother, Jack of Florida, and niece Paula of Kentucky. They attended the Shaffer reunion in York.

Dalbert and Martha Knepper will celebrate their 72nd wedding anniversary on August 21.

Betty Strait of Needmore semi-retired from Fulton County Medical Center after employment of eight years.

Congratulations to Faith Peck who won the Fulton County Fair Little Miss Princess title last week. The weather was nice for fair week. A fireworks display was very nice on Friday night.

Don McClure underwent heart bypass surgery last week.

The American Legion held its annual picnic on Sunday at the picnic grounds.

The 107th Path Valley Picnic was held last week at Hammond’s Grove Park in Spring Run.
