Provident Living Seminar Ideas On How To Survive In Our Uncertain World
The local congregations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often identified as “Mormons,” are holding a Provident Living Seminar to assist interested individuals in gaining insight into how to deal with difficult situations.
The seminar will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the church facilities located at 50 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg. All interested parties are invited to attend.
Often, individuals and families are faced with uncertainties on how to deal with difficult situations involving money, food, surviv- ing disasters, etc.
Nine experts on diverse subjects will be present; and each attendee can choose from two of the nine classes. The classes to be presented are:
Debt and budget management
Finding employment or enhancing your career
The art of couponing – how to save money on food and other items
Assembling and maintaining a 72-hour emergency kit
Starting and maintaining a one-year supply of food
Family vegetable gardening
Proper canning techniques for meat, vegetables and fruits
Natural disaster preparedness
Ham radio – licensing and operating
