MHS To Present “Grease”

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

The cast of “Grease” The cast of “Grease” Students at McConnellsburg High School will present the musical “Grease” Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 20, 21, 22, at 7 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m., in the high school auditorium.

“Grease” brings back the teenage life of the 1950s. The boys wear short hair swept back into greasy DAs and sport motorcycle jackets, pegged pants and T-shirts. The girls wear pedal pushers, white bobbie socks, cinch belts and long felt skirts.

The plot concerns Danny, a member of the “Burger Palace Boys,” and Sandy, a sweet, innocent girl, who just transferred to Rydell High School from the confines of Immaculate High. Having met during the summer, they fell in love, but live in “two different worlds.” Add to the mix comedy, dancing and classic songs like “Grease Lightening,” “Beauty School Dropout,” “Freddy My Love, “and “Born To Hand Jive,” you’ve got the makings of a great night’s entertainment.

So plan on being there when the curtain rises on the musical-comedy classic “Grease.” Doors will open each evening at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is adults $5 and students $4. Advanced tickets can be purchased in the high school office.
