Cops: Couple Stole 23 Guns From Central Pa. Stores
CLEARFIELD, Pa. (AP) – A central Pennsylvania couple has been jailed on charges they stole 23 handguns by breaking into two stores – one of which was allegedly burglarized twice in five days.
Online court records don’t list attorneys for 25-year-old Brett Andrew Moore, and 24- year-old Nicole Elaine Moore, of DuBois.
Their arrests were announced Wednesday by Clearfield County District Attorney Bill Shaw, the Pennsylvania State Police, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and other investigators.
Shaw says Nicole Moore acted as the getaway driver when Brett Moore broke into L.B. Toney’s Alamo Gun Shop in DuBois on Aug. 28, and Bob’s Army and Navy store in Clearfield on Sept. 8 and 12.
In all, Shaw says the couple stole 9 handguns from the DuBois store, and 14 from the Clearfield outlet.
