Book Drive To End April 15
The book drive for the 30th annual Friends of Legal Services will end April 15. “We encourage all local residents to donate books they no longer need,” said Carolyn Carter, a volunteer with the group. “Your books will bring joy and learning to others, and help a worthy cause at the same time.” The group welcomes all types of books – old and new, paperback and hardback – plus magazines dated before 1950, sheet music, maps, artwork, CDs, DVDs and books on tape.
Book donation sites in Franklin, Cumberland and Adams County are listed at www.fcls.net.
The sale itself will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, in Laird Hall on the Wilson College campus in Chambersburg. Proceeds benefit local nonprofit organizations that provide legal services to low-income residents and victims of domestic violence.
