Thelma A. Drenning Harrisonville, 85

Thelma Arlene Drenning, 85, formerly of Harrisonville, and more recently a resident of the Long-Term Care Unit of Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, died Tuesday evening, February 18, 2014, at the Medical Center.

Born November 10, 1928, in Ellicott City, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Margaret S. (Strait) Edwards. She was married to Louis K. Drenning on July 21, 1949, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded in death on December 8, 1999.

She is survived by a son, Dale L. Drenning and wife Linda, Waterfall; one brother, Norman Edwards, Harrisonville; and two sisters: Elsie Daniels, Chambersburg, and Geraldine Rinetsch, Beaver Falls, Pa.

A son, David L. Drenning, preceded her in death in 1989.

She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville.

She was a homemaker, seamstress and cake decorator. In earlier years she had worked at Sagner Inc. and Overly-Raker, both in Mc- Connellsburg.

She enjoyed hunting, camping, crocheting and feeding the birds. She was a well known cake decorator and was a member of ICESInternational Cake Exhibition Society.

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m., Friday, February 21, at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Pastor Richard Bernhard officiated. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Harrisonville, Pa.
