John Chamberlain Wells Tannery, 75

John Chamberlain, 75, Wells Tannery, Pa., died with his daughter at his bedside Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, at Pinnacle Health-Harrisburg Hospital.

Born August 13, 1938, in Wells Tannery, he was the son of the late Mont and Mary (Guillard) Chamberlain. He was married to Marjorie Hann on November 6, 1965. She survives at their home.

He is survived by one daughter, Julie Chamberlain Norris, and husband Brent, Chambersburg; a sister, Cheri Fix, wife of the late Clair Fix, Fort Littleton; and Dan Chamberlain and wife Nancy, Wells Tannery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A brother, James Chamberlain, is deceased.

He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the former Pine Grove Methodist Church, Wells Tannery.

He retired in 1993 from PennDOT after 30 years service as a truck driver and equipment operator. He was a member of PARSE-Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and also the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, Harrisonville.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cutting firewood, collecting antiques and local history.

Funeral services were held at noon Monday, February 24, 2014, at the M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Rev. Layman L. Kennedy officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery, McCon-nellsburg
