Truax To Show Cattle At Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic

Brittany Truax, Hustontown, will exhibit Angus cattle at the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) Regional Preview Junior Angus Show in Harrisonburg, Va., March 7-9, reports Jaclyn Upperman, director of junior activities at American Angus Association.

Truax, a junior member of the American Angus Assoc., with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Miss., is one of 211 young people from 15 states who have entered a total of 385 Angus to compete for championship honors.

Scott Schaake, Manhattan, Kan., will judge divisions for bred-and-owned heifers and bulls, owned heifers, cow-calf pairs and steers. An Angus-based steer show is also held.

The MAJAC Show is sponsored by the American Angus Association and the Northern Virginia Junior Angus Association. It is one of seven junior Angus shows the national organization sponsors each year for its nearly 5,000 active junior Angus members in the United States.

Truax is the daughter of Lee and Suzette Truax of Hustontown.
