By Kate Berkstresser

This has been a good weekend just to sit and enjoy the beautiful winter scenery of Mother Nature, but not for some folks who have to get out and work in it.

We send get well wishes to Randy Gantz’s mother and also speedy recovery wishes to Alice Walker.

Belated happy birthday wishes to Sara Kay Helman.

Some church services were cancelled due to the weather on Sunday.

Hope everyone enjoyed the presidential holiday on Monday.

Quite a few folks are keeping up with the Olympic games and, of course, they’re rooting for the USA.

Congratulations to Katherine Berkstresser on the birth of a baby boy.

Our sympathy to the family and relatives of sisters Janet Barnett and Alma Hook who passed away recently.

Household hint: To get freshly spilled oil or grease out of clothing cover the spot with cornstarch and put a paper towel under the stained area to absorb the grease that goes through the fabric. Let the cornstarch absorb the grease then brush off the garment and wash. Depending on the stain, may have to repeat.
