Walking At Alumni Gym McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Assoc. will open the alumni community gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., for anyone to get out of the cold and exercise in the gym. Open Stage Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. will hold an open stage Saturday, February 22, at 6 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Little League Registration Anyone interested in registering for the 2014 Little League season should contact Greg Strait at 485-5723 or Loy Garber at 485-4902 to obtain a form. Return the completed form to FCLL, PO Box 132, Mc- Connellsburg, PA 17233. Little League is for ages 9-12; Farm League 7- and 8-year-olds and tee-ball 5- and 6-year olds.
Softball Registration BiValley girls softball is taking registrations for the local BiValley league (ages 4 and up) and travel teams that play in Chambersburg Suburban League. Plans are made for 12U, 14U and 18U travel teams to play in CSL. 12U games begin at the end of April. Jazz Festival Forbes Road School District will host a district jazz festival Saturday, February 22, in the auditorium beginning at 1 p.m. Fifty student musicians from across the district, including Fulton County, will be represented. Tickets will be available at the door.
Shooting Match Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a shooting match Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. Signin begins at noon. Prizes awarded. A special shoot will be held for half a hog.
Toy, Train, Doll Show A toy, train and doll show will be held Sunday, February 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Scotland Community Center, 3832 Main Street, Scotland, Pa. Admission is $2.50; early birds are $5; and under 12 are free. More information may be obtained by calling 264-3081.

P.O.W.E.R. Meetings P.O.W.E.R. (Parents Offering Wisdom, Education and Release) will meet February 20 and 24. The goal of the group is to support and educate the community, the addict and the families of addicts to the issues and problems that can occur when dealing with addicts and their recovery programs. Emotional and possible financial support are also offered to any individual who might need it to successfully overcome an addiction. The meeting is held at 292 Buchanan Trail. Historical Society Meetings Fulton County Historical Society monthly board of directors meetings will be held February 20, March 20, April 17 and May 15 at 7 p.m., at the Fulton House, McConnellsburg.

Shooting Club Meeting The monthly 4-H Shooting Club meeting will be held Thursday, February 20, at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club at 6:30 p.m. All youths interested are welcome to attend.
Pesticide Meeting A pesticide recertification meeting will be held March 6, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at McConnellsburg High School cafeteria. The program will give 2 Core and 2 Category credits. This will be the only program offered to the public in Fulton County so be sure to attend if needing credits. Teen Advisory Meeting The Teen Advisory Board ofe Fulton County Library will hold a monthly meeting in the library's community room Friday, February 28, starting at 6 p.m. The group will be continuing their preparations for the upcoming Earth Day Festival. Friends Of Meadow Grounds Meeting Friends of Meadow Grounds Lake holds a monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Community State Bank at 415 Fulton Drive (runs from the Giant to Cito Road). The public is invited to attend and contribute.

Forestry/Wildlife Conference All forest landowners or anyone interested in wildlife and forests, are invited to attend the 17th annual Forestry and Wildlife Conference, sponsored by Woodland Owners of the Southern Alleghenies. The conference will be held at Breezewood Firehall Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include a hot lunch. The theme of this year’s conference highlights good forest management, with a special emphasis on understanding forest history and maintaining archeological sites or artifacts in private forests. Benefit Book Sale A giant benefit book sale will be held May 9-11. Over 60,000 new and used books of all types, plus CDs, maps, sheet music, magazines, videotapes and artwork will be offered for sale at bargain prices at the 30th annual Friends of Legal Services book sale at Laird Hall on the Wilson College campus in Chambersburg. Hunter/Trapper Course Fulton County Hunter/Trapper course will be offered Saturday, March 29, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. Preregistration is required. Camp Cadet Applications Fulton County Camp Cadet is accepting applications for the 2014 Camp Cadet to be held at Sinoquipe Scout Reservation in Fort Littleton June 1-6. Applicants must be residents of Fulton County between the ages of 12 through 15 before June 1 and there is no cost to the cadet. Applicants may obtain applications through their school presentations or at the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks at 717-485-3131. Applications will be accepted through March 15, 2014.

Spaghetti Dinner Southern Fulton PTA is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner and a show at the elementary school, Saturday, March 29, at 6 p.m. Featured will be national awardwinning vocalist Sandy Uttley performing a tribute to Patsy Cline with classic country and oldies. Spaghetti Fundraiser A spaghetti fundraiser, sponsored by Hancock Lioness Club, will be held at Hancock American Legion Sunday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit local scholarships, local food bank and Lions Camp Merrick for diabetic children.
