Mary A. Douglas Hancock, 87

Mary A. Douglas, 87, Hancock, died Tuesday January 28, 2014, at the Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, Md.

Born August 29, 1926, at Cohill Station, Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Emory A. and Goldie P. Graham Suder. She was the widow of Edison “Buddy” Keller Weller, her first husband, who died June 10, 1968.

She attended Clear Spring High School. She was a lifelong member of Mooresville First Church of God, where she served in many positions, as assistant Sunday school superintendent, treasurer, secretary, Sunday school teacher and served on the church council.

She was employed by London Fog Manufacturing in Hancock and Maryland Blue Ribbon. She belonged to Big Pool Homemaker’s Club. She loved to cook and take care of her home.

She is survived by her second husband, Marvin A. Douglas; one stepson, Marvin Lynn Douglas; stepgranddaughter Holly Adams; step- grandson Michael Douglas; three stepgreat grandchildren; two sisters: Lavada Moats, Hagerstown; Adele Brakeall of Hancock; two brothers: Jackie Suder of Hagerstown; Emory Suder Jr. of Mercersburg; 11 nephews; one niece; 11 great-nieces; three greatgreat nieces; and 12 greatgreat nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Mickey W. Suder; and two sisters: Eleanor Bain and Anna Lee Ardinger.

Services will be held Friday January 31, 2014, at 1 p. m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Rev. Dean Metcalfe Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool, Md.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
