Forbes Road continued its winning streak Friday night, dominating the Mc- Connellsburg Spartans for a 71-37 Sideling Hill League victory. Chase Shaw netted 22 points, which included six three-point shots, and added on five assists and three steals for the Cardinals. Macklin Hawkins’ doubledouble consisted of 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyle Schoen and Tristan Gelvin had 13 and 11 points, respectively. Tyrelle White and Tristan Gelvin were the high scorers for the Spartans with eight and seven points, respectively.

Southern Fulton 70

Fannett-Metal 20

Southern Fulton jumped out to a 30-point lead Friday night and cruised to a 70-20 Sideling Hill League win over Fannett-Metal. The Indians’ offense was led by Jordan Clingerman with 21 points, and teammate Trent Rider added on 17 points. Connor Litton finished out the evening with 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Forbes Road managed only 12 points in the first three quarters Saturday night and fell to Southern Fulton 57-27. The Indians’ received 18 points from Connor Litton, and Brady Golden also reached double figures with 15 points. Seniors Chase Shaw and Tristan Gelvin scored seven and six points, respectively, for the Cardinals.

The McConnellsburg Spartans bumped up their season record to 3-6 last Wednesday night, defeating Hope for Hyndman 62-43. Tyrelle White posted a double double for the Spartans having recorded 17 points and 13 rebounds. Matt Snyder and teammate Chase Novak both totalled 12 points, and Jake Boehme added 11.

Southern Huntingdon 51

Forbes Road jumped out to a 16-point lead in the opening quarter Wednesday evening and handily defeated Southern Huntingdon by a margin of 21 points. Tristan Gelvin led his Cardinal teammates with 18 points, and Macklin Hawkins rallied for 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Chase Shaw and Kyle Schoen both reached double figures with 12 and 14 points, respectively.

Southern Fulton’s offense got back on track Wednesday night, defeating Greencastle Antrim by a margin of 58-40. Dylan Gordon finished out the non-league game with a career-high 20 points, and Connor Litton followed with 17 points. Jordan Clingerman also reached double figures with 13 points.

Caleb Gingerich totalled 18 points for the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers, who fell to Cumberland Valley Christian Monday night by the score of 57-38.

Tussey Mountain 61

Trailing the entire match, Tussey Mountain came back to take a four-point lead in the final period Tuesday night but still ended up falling to the Forbes Road Cardinals. Winning the Sideling Hill League match 64-61, the Cardinal offense was led by Brock Broadwater, who tallied 18 points. Macklin Hawkins added on 17 points, and Chase Shaw and Tristan Gelvin closed out the nights with 15 and 10 points, respectively.

Northern Bedford 56

Southern Fulton came back in the final quarter Tuesday evening but missed a game- tying free throw against Northern Bedford, who closed out the night with a four-point Sideling Hill League victory. Jordan Clingerman’s double-double consisted of 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Dylan Gordon and Connor Litton had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Bronwyne Mellott and Sarrah Pollock both rallied for 18 points Thursday night during the McConnellsburg Lady Spartan’s decisive 56-25 victory over the Forbes Road Cardinals. Brittany Parson and Kylie Keefer followed with eight and seven points, respectively, for Mc- Connellsburg during the Sideling Hill League rival matchup. High scorers for the Lady Cardinals were Mina Wilt and McKenzie Gelvin with eight and seven points, respectively.

Four members of the Southern Fulton Lady Indians squad racked up double digits against the Fannett- Metal Tigers Thursday night. Winning the Sideling Hill League match by the lopsided score of 79-26, the Indians were led by Olivia Mottern with 21 points. Teammate Macey Hollenshead added on 17 points, 11 assists and four steals. Ashley Roman and Shaye Smartt both finished with 12 points.

Bronwyne Mellott led the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans onto their third-straight victory Saturday evening. Downing Fannett-Metal by the final score of 55-31, Lady Spartan Mellott tallied 26 points. Other high scorers were Sarrah Pollock and Sam Roberts with 10 and nine points, respectively.

Hyndman 50

Freshman Bronwyne Mellott paved the way for the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans down Hope for Hyndman last Tuesday night by the score of 67-50. Scoring almost two-thirds of the overall points recorded by Mc- Connellsburg, Mellott had a career-high 42 points. Mellott also tacked on 14 rebounds, while Sam Roberts also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 steals.

Forbes Road saw its record fall to 4-6 last week with poor shooting from not only the floor but also from the free throw line. Dropping a Sideling Hill League game to Everett by the score of 44- 26, Forbes Road’s Maiah Mellott had seven points and 11 rebounds for the Cardinals. Mina Wilt also had seven points and also added eight rebounds.

Forbes Road managed only 12 percent efficiency from the field and 18 percent from the free throw line Monday night during a 50-14 trouncing at the hands of the Tussey Mountain Titans. Mina Wilt was the lead scorer with six points, and Braylin Hohman added eight rebounds.

Cumberland Valley Christian made some key free throws Monday night to advance over Fulton County Community Christian School by the final score of 48-38. Morgan Daniels totalled 19 points to lead the Lady Chargers during the nonleague loss. Jenae Gordon was the next-highest scorer with nine points.

Outscored in all but one quarter Monday night, Southern Fulton still managed to eke out an 11-point victory over Northern Bedford to bump their season record to 10-1. Ashley Roman poured in a game-high 25 points along with 16 rebounds for yet another double double. Olivia Mottern chipped in 16 points, and Macey Hollenshead added seven points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.
