Laurel Ridge Christian Church held its Christmas play, “A Cricket County Christmas Cruise,” on Saturday.

Asbury United Methodist Church held a free spaghetti supper on Tuesday evening.

Monday, January 20, will be a national holiday to observe Rev. Martin Luther King’s birthday.

Public Opinion basketball weekly honor roll studentathletes were Kylie Keefer, Central Fulton; Olivia Mottern, Southern Fulton; and Kyle Schoen and Mina Wilt, Forbes Road.

Sympathy goes out to the family of former resident Carl Helman of Fort Loudon.

An 80th birthday party was held Saturday in Greencastle for Billie Mae Chesnut of Cove Gap and a former Fulton County resident. She is a sister to Clair “Ginnie” Lininger of town and the wife of Blaine Chestnut. Family and friends attended.
