Christians Underground 65

Christians Underground went into the halftime break with a 16-point lead on December 6 and surged further ahead for a 65-30 non-league win over Fulton County Community Christian School. Charger Caleb Gingerich netted 20 points and added 12 rebounds and four steals, while Adin Brady was the next highest scorer with eight points. Dave Gartner closed out the game with nine rebounds.

Juniata Mennonite 27

Juniata Mennonite managed to keep Saturday’s game close during the opening quarter, but the Fulton County Community Christian School managed to lengthen the lead for a 46-27 non-league win. Caleb Gingerich was again high scorer for the Chargers, posting a double- double with 29 points, 16 rebounds, eight steals and five assists. Adin Brady tallied eight points and three steals, while teammate Dave Gartner added five points and five rebounds.

McConnellsburg 51

McConnellsburg opened its season Friday night with a disappointing 67-51 loss at the hands of Cumberland Valley Christian. Jake Boehme reached double digits during the non-league match with 14 points, and teammates Tyrelle White and Chase Novak both followed with 11 each. Landon Richards was the next highest scorer with eight points. Matt Snyder led the defense with nine rebounds.

Paw Paw 55

FCCCS 49

Paw Paw and the Fulton County Community Christian School battled it out in overtime last Tuesday with Paw Paw prevailing by a margin of six points after sinking some important foul shots. Jenae Gordon posted 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead the Chargers, who also received 17 points and eight assists from Morgan Daniels. Sarah Gingerich closed out the nonleague match with nine rebounds.

Juniata Mennonite 39

FCCCS 33

Juniata Mennonite and the Fulton County Community Christian School took turns commanding the lead Friday night, but Juniata sunk some important free throws to secure a 39- 33 victory. Jenae Gordon netted 12 points and pulled down eight boards, while teammate Morgan Daniels followed closely with 11 points. Hannah Beddow led the defense with 11 rebounds.

Grier 8

The Fulton County Community Christian School held Grier scoreless in the first quarter and eventually cruised to a 42-8 non-league ousting Saturday. With 16 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Lady Charger Jenae Gordon led her teammates. Morgan Daniels tallied 13 points, four rebounds and four steals, and Hannah Beddow sunk 11 points, while making four steals and grabbing eight rebounds.

Berlin 58

Southern Fulton 52

In their season opener Friday night, the Southern Fulton Indians and Berlin battled it out in overtime with the Indians losing the game by a mere six points. Dropping the non-league matchup by the final score of 58-52, the Indians were led by Olivia Mottern, who tallied 15 points. Celina Merchant and Macey Hollenshead also reached double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

McConnellsburg 68

Mount Union 47

McConnellsburg had four players reach double figures Friday night during a 68-47 ousting of Mount Union. During the Spartans’ opening game of the winter season, Bronwyne Mellott netted 19 points for McConnellsburg. Jessi Keefer and Sam Roberts both had 14 points, and Sarrah Pollock rounded out the night with 12 points.
