Performs At National FFA Convention

Earlier in November, Mc- Connellsburg FFA members got to cheer on fellow member DeAnne Dickerson during the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky.

Dickerson participated in the National FFA talent competition, showcasing her singing talent. She arrived in Louisville on Sunday and had several auditions for the competition. She was stationed at the food court stage for her performances enabling many National Convention goers to enjoy her talents.

During the week DeAnne performed the songs “Famous In A Small Town,” “Hallelujiah,” “I Hope You Dance,” “You Lie” and “To Make You Feel My Love.” In addition, DeAnne made several friends of fellow talent participants and even performed an impromptu rendition of “Hallelujiah” with a group of other singers from Idaho.

“I had an incredible time!” stated Dickerson. “It was great to get to know so many talented people from across the nation.”

She is the daughter of Brad and Carla Dickerson of McConnellsburg. Her mom, Carla, accompanied her to Louisville and helped cheer her on. This year is the second year she has performed at a national level.
