MES Character Counts Students Named

McConnellsburg Elementary has continued its character education program this year. In the month of October, compassion and how to care for others, doing kind and thoughtful deeds, and putting other people’s needs before their own were worked on. It is believed that character counts so each month a different character trait is promoted. The traits to be worked on are citizenship, compassion, fairness, honesty, integrity, perseverance, responsibility, respect and self-discipline. The following students were chosen by their teacher in demonstrating the qualities of compassion:

Zeth Johnson, Jayde Mellott, Carson Strait, Teagan Wireman, Diamond Wazelle, Jaycie Moody, Lyssa Gable, Cecelia Harper, Mireya McGaha-Eastep, Lorali Green, Jayden Skiles, Landon Wilson, Maggie Mellott, Carter Suders, Morgan Stallman, Faith Dickerson, Randi Shover, James McCauley, Noah Miller, Shaffer Earley, Jaylin Moore, Emily Crouse, Isna Hollinshead, Jadyn Hollenshead, Joshua Strait and Xavier Buterbaugh.

They received a certificate and a small prize.
