Hazel M. Carbaugh Chambersburg, 92

Hazel M. Carbaugh, 92, Chambersburg, died Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center in Chambersburg.

She was born March 16, 1921 in Burnt Cabins, the daughter of the late Roy and Hattie (Hampton) North. Hazel was married to the late Roy O. Carbaugh who pas-sed in 1973.

She was a housewife and homemaker all her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley (wife of John C.) Lake of Mc- Connellsburg; two grandchildren: Deborah Barnhart of Greencastle, and Gregory Swope of Chambersburg; two great-grandsons: Ryan Bradley of Blackshear, Ga., and Ryland Bradley of Hagerstown, Md.; two greatgranddaughters: Amber Swope of Chambersburg and Destiny Swope of Chambersburg; four stepgrandchildren: Kirk Lake of St. Thomas; Steve Lake of Fort Loudon; Eric Lake of Greenvillage, Pa., and Vicky Ortiz of Chambersburg; three step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Hattie North; her husband, Roy O. Carbaugh; one step-great-grand daughter, April Lake; four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Mc- Connellsburg. Interment was at 1:15 p.m., at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church Cemetery in Chambersburg. Rev. William Swope officiated.
