Mary H. Chesnut Chambersburg, 97
Mary Helen Chesnut, 97, of Menno Haven, and formerly of Chambersburg died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Menno Haven.
She was born December 1, 1915, in McConnellsburg, Pa., to the late John James and Bertha (Clevenger) McLucas. She was married to Claude E. Chesnut Sr. in 1940. He died November 29, 1996.
Early in her life she was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot and later at Wilson College. At the birth of her children, she left the workforce to become a mother and homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She and her husband shared a love of antiques.
She is survived by a son, Claude E.(husband of Kimberly Shetron) Chesnut Jr. of Chambersburg; a daughter, Ann (wife of Robert) Ziobrowski of Chambersburg; three grandchildren: Amanda Teal Chesnut VanNote, Brandon James Ziobrowski, Nicholas Robert Ziobrowski; one great-granddaughter, Brooke Teal VanNote; and one sister, Elizabeth L.(wife of William) Banks of Mechanicsburg.
A memorial service was held at the chapel in Menno Haven on Friday, November 22, at 1 p.m. Chaplain Vernon Isner officiated.
