Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

We are still having beautiful weather, only it begins to feel like fall breezes are here.

June Bennett of Carlisle spent Monday with her mother, Kate Berkstresser.

The teen youths will hold a bake sale November 23 at 9 a.m. at Knobsville United Methodist Church. They will appreciate everyone’s support of baked goods.

Happy birthday to Jeff Berkstresser on November 21 and to Jerry Berkstresser on November 24.

Sorry to hear Mr. and Mrs. Don Divens are not feeling so well. We send get well wishes their way. Don had the misfortune of injuring his fingers.

Glad to hear there was a good turnout at the auction at Hustontown Firehall Saturday afternoon.

Household Hint: If you have some pesky mice buy campho gum. It comes in two-inch squares and looks like paraffin and has a very strong camphor odor that mice do not like. Place the squares where mice travel or invade but keep children and pets away from it. You can find camphor gum in hardware stores or garden supply.
