Roger A. Barton Wells Tannery, 59

Roger Allen Barton, 59, Wells Tannery, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 9, 2013.

Born in McConnellsburg, December 3, 1954, he was the son of June (Winter) Barton and the late Clair Barton.

He is survived by his mother, June, his wife, Deborah; three daughters: Kerri, Kirstie and Kesha; a son, Kyle; and a granddaughter, Alea Jade; a brother, Randy, and wife Lindy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clair, and a sister, Joy (Barton) Dixon.

Although he was wellknown for being a jack of all trades, he was a carpenter by profession and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union 0214. Upon retirement, he enjoyed working on projects around his home and being with his family, especially his granddaughter and best friend in the whole wide world, Alea Jade. Considered an anchor by his wife and children, he was a great father and grandfather, a loving husband and a loyal son. He will be greatly and sincerely missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace.

A memorial gathering is to be planned at a later date.
