Mary D. Peck Roaring Spring, 97

Mrs. Mary D. Peck, 97, Roaring Spring, died at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

She was born in Fulton County, Sunday, October 29, 1916, the daughter of the late Ira “ Pop” and Goldie Mae (Richards) Diehl.

On June 19, 1936, she married Roy F. Peck. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1986.

She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne “Bonnie,” widow of Rev. Franklin Linton, Roaring Spring; grandsons: Jeffrey Linton, Baltimore; Joseph Linton, Keller, Texas; and Jerrold Linton, Osterburg; a granddaughter, Jennifer Sciranko, Osterburg; and eight great-grandchildren: Megan, Nathan, Brianna, Kiley, Sarah, Derik, Dillon and Morgan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Diehl, and a sister, Helen Diehl

She was a member of Hancock Assembly of God Church. She retired after 40 years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, carrying the mail from Hancock to Big Cove Tannery to Needmore, and then back to Hancock.

Funeral services were held at Hancock Assembly of God Church, Hancock, Md., at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Rev. Donald Preston and Rev. Robert Smith officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery, Mc- Connellsburg.
