Reward Offered In Philly Armored Car Heist

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests and convictions in last week’s armored car robbery in northeast Philadelphia.

An FBI spokesman told WPVI-TV that the timing of the Oct. 31 robbery in front of the Wells Fargo branch in the city’s Holmesburg section indicates that the crime “was preplanned and well planned.’’

Authorities said two men wearing Halloween marks similar to the one from the movie “Scream’’ and armed with semi-automatic weapons approached the armored car as a guard was unloading money.
