Girls All-Stars were first team – Sam Roberts, Hanna Ott and Sarrah Pollock of McConnellsburg; and honorable mention – Brittany Parson and Michaela Kendall. Congratulations to all.

A 101st birthday gathering was held Sunday in Fulton County Medical Center’s dining room for Ruth Souders. Her birthday is November 13. It was given by her grandchildren and their families. Around 30 attended. The youngest present was her great-great-grandson, Micah McGarvey, five months old, son of John and Rachael McGarvey of Chambersburg.

Snowflakes were spotted in the county last week. Winter is just around the corner.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Evelyn Black Zentimeyers of Chambersburg, formerly of here, who passed away last week.

Doris Ray is at home recuperating after heart surgery at Holy Spirit Hospital in Harrisburg.

It was enjoyable to hear the choir sing on Sunday at McConnellsburg St. Paul Lutheran Church. It is not an every Sunday thing.

Greg and Tina Gress will observe their 33rd wedding anniversary November 15; George and Jodi Hann on November 17; Kenny and Brenda Deshong celebrate their third anniversary on November 19; and Justin and Tessa Strait, their second on November 19.

Fulton County Farm women met last Thursday in the home of Betty Palmer of Mercersburg.

A spaghetti supper was held Tuesday at Asbury Methodist Church.
