Denver L. Weller Hancock, 57

Denver Lee Weller, 57, Hancock, died Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his home.

Born September 29, 1956, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clyde Leroy and Velma Elizabeth McCormick Weller.

He was employed as a pipe layer by C. William Hetzer Inc., in Hagerstown, Md.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. He enjoyed hunting, being with his family, shooting deer and drinking beer.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Louise Van- Daniker Weller, whom he married on June 25, 2004, in Hagerstown, Md.; one stepdaughter, Katie M. Van- Daniker, of Hancock; three sisters: Brenda Hixon, of Front Royal, Va.; Melissa Unger, of Hancock; and Wendy Hoover, of Hustontown.; three brothers: Tony Weller, Tracy Weller, and Darrin Weller, all of Hancock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Leroy Weller Jr.

Services will be held Thursday, November 7, at 11 a.m., at Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Hancock. Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the church.

Memorial donations to help defray the funeral expenses may be made in his name to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750.
