In spite of easily out shooting Everett last Monday, the Southern Fulton Indians were felled by the Warriors by a narrow score of 1- 0. During the Sideling Hill League match, Indian goalkeeper Shad Gordon tallied 14 saves.

Windber 10

Forbes Road 1

Windber tallied five goals in each half last Monday to run away for a 10-1 nonleague win over Forbes Road. Aaron Schepis had the Cardinals’ lone goal on an assist by teammate James Kendall. Goalies Macklin Hawkins and Owen Gilbert combined for 14 saves.

Northern Bedford 1

McConnellsburg garnered a number-one seed ranking for District 5-A playoffs last Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Northern Bedford. Sam Roberts led the Lady Spartans with two goals, and Cierra Sherman had a goal as well. Jordin Smith finished out the day with two assists. Sarrah Pollock garnered eight saves for the win.

McConnellsburg 1

Tussey Mountain 0

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans continued to move up the ranks in District 5-A playoffs Saturday afternoon. Edging out Tussey Mountain by the narrow score of 1-0, the Lady Spartans were set to square off against Conemaugh Township Monday during the semifinal round. Sam Roberts scored the lone goal of the day on an assist from Abby Peck. Sarrah Pollock again preserved the shutout with seven saves in goal.


McConnellsburg 3

Northern Bedford 0

With one match still remaining on their schedule last Tuesday night, the Mc- Connellsburg Lady Spartans were tied for first place in the Sideling Hill League. Helping maintain their shared first-place status, the Spartans downed Northern Bedford in three straight sets last Tuesday. Jessi Keefer had 22 kills, and Kylie Keefer added three blocks and 24 assists. Teammate DeAnne Dickerson tallied 17 digs.

Southern Fulton 0

The Southern Fulton Lady Indians saw their season record drop to 8-10 last Tuesday when the Everett Warriors swept the Sideling Hill League match in three straight sets. Shaye Smartt led the Indians in kills with three, while Ashley Roman contributed two blocks. Macey Hollenshead had eight digs and five service points, and Celina Merchant also had eight digs.

Southern Fulton 0

McConnellsburg and Southern Fulton squared off last Thursday evening with the Lady Spartans finishing out the regular season with a 3-0 Sideling Hill League victory. Jessi Keefer had 13 kills, three blocks and three aces for the victorious Spartans, who also received 17 assists and eight digs from Kylie Keefer. Reva Souders totalled six digs, and Sarah Keefer added three blocks. Meanwhile for the Lady Indians, Ashley Roman had three kills and three blocks. Maggie Deneen contributed 10 digs, and Cheyenne Koons finished with two aces.

West Branch 3

McConnellsburg 0

West Branch prevailed Saturday during the championship match for the Inter- County Conference title against the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans, who saw their 12- match winning streak come to an end. Jessi Keefer recorded nine kills, three blocks and two aces. Teammate DeAnne Dickerson rallied for 15 digs and two aces, and Gabby Danner handed out eight assists.
