Alfonso Lazo Hagerstown, 87

Alfonso Lazo, M.D., 87, Hagerstown, Md, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his home.

Born October 17, 1926, in Seville, Spain, he was the son of the late Sebastian SanLucar de Barrameda Lazo and Mercedes de Zbikowski.

As a founding member of Associated Radiologists, Dr. Lazo practiced in Hagerstown for 20 years. He then practiced radiology in Chambersburg and Mc- Conellsburg, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeannine Lazo; a daughter, Teresa Lazo of Camp Hill; a son, Alfonso Joseph Lazo of Pewaukee, Wis.; a granddaughter, Claire Elyse Lazo of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and a grandson, Jonah Sebastian Lazo of Pewaukee, Wisc.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Julie Lazo de Zbikowski and Maria del Carmen del Corazon de Jesus, C.D.; and three brothers: Manuel, Juan and Sebastian Lazo de Zbikowski.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hagerstown. Rev. George A. Limmer and Rev. Collin Poston was concelebrants. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery.
