Hershey’s Chocolate World Reports Record Traffic
HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) – The flagship Hershey’s Chocolate World attraction drew more than 2 million visitors this summer, a record for the Pennsylvania facility that opened 40 years ago.
Hershey’s said that attendance at Chocolate World in Hershey was up 8 percent over last year. The company said it sold more than 1 million pounds of chocolate there.
Hershey’s also has Chocolate Worlds in New York City, Chicago, Niagara Falls, N.Y., Singapore, Shanghai and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Since the first one opened in 1973, more than 150 million people have visited a Hershey’s Chocolate World.
