It was an intense night Friday at Williams Grove Speedway as two battles were hotly contested during the 25-lap 410 Sprint car main.
Out front it was Brian Montieth taking the lead with two laps to go from Justin Barger to score the feature win, but a few spots back it was Greg Hodnett who was trying to stay four spots ahead of Fred Rahmer to clinch the track title.
Hodnett started 14th, Rahmer started 11th, but it was Hodnett who drove forward only to get drilled by Brent Marks, causing him to spin. He kept going but would end up finishing fourth, while Rahmer’s seventh place finish was good enough to give Rahmer the track title by five points.
Montieth scored the win over Logan Schuchart, Barger, Hodnett and Jacob Allen.
Chase Dietz captured a career-first 358 Sprint car win at Williams Grove over Kevin Nouse, Brad McClelland, Tyler Ross and Jason Shultz.
After getting rained out Saturday night, Lincoln Speedway closed out its season with the “Final Call” Fred Rahmer Tribute on Sunday. Logan Schuchart led all 25 laps to secure the win over Danny Dietrich, Lance Dewease, Rahmer and Brian Montieth.
Niki Young won the final 358 Sprint car feature of the season at Lincoln over Kevin Nouse and Austin Hogue.
