Residents Asked To Complete Pike 2 Bike Survey

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

The Fulton and Bedford County commissioners along with their respective planning offices are moving forward with their plans to collaborate on the development of the Pike 2 Bike trail.

Referring to the trail as a “world-class, one-of-a-kind, multi-use, recreational bike trail,” the commissioners said the trail traversing through Wells and Taylor townships to the Breezewood area has the “potential to generate a significant regional economic impact.”

As part of this project, residents are being urged to take a survey to help the counties gain a better understanding of what users need to feel safe and enjoy the trail as well as what residents want to see in the development of a local resource. The survey also includes several questions designed for business owners and farmers to help the counties understand how to promote the type of development that benefits all parts of the economy.

The survey is expected to take no more than 20 minutes to complete. It was noted residents do have the option of saving their answers and returning to it later if they are unable to complete the survey in one sitting. Deadline for completion is October 28.

In addition, residents completing the survey will be entered into a drawing to receive one of at least five prizes ranging from dinner for two at the Omni Bedford Springs to Gateway gift cards.
