Quilt Club Announces Contest Winners

Record number of quilts shown during festival


Best of Show Best of Show A record number of quilts were shown at the Fulton County Quilt Club’s 33rd annual show and contest over Fall Folk Festival weekend. According to show organizers, entries totaled 117, 32 of which were youth entries from Forbes Road High School. Twenty others were made by members of Green Hill Sewing Club and collected for the show by Joyceline Strait.

This year’s show was dedicated to the memory of Quilt Club member Linda Kasper, who passed away last December. Using quilting fabric donated by Linda’s husband Ron, the Quilt Club has made 12 baby quilts to give to the Fulton County Catholic Mission’s Gabriel Project.

The number of people who voted for their favorite quilt in the People’s Choice competition totaled 469. The winner of that award and other award winners follow:
