FCMC Offers Health Insurance Information To The Community
On October 1, the Insurance Marketplace Exchange became available to the public, allowing the uninsured to get health insurance, as well as those with insurance to potentially get lower rates. The Marketplace Exchange is a Web site, https://www.healthcare. gov/, designed by the federal government that compares coverage options based on price, benefits, quality and other features. It allows you to choose the combination of price and benefits that fits your budget. According to the U.S. Census, 13.3 percent of Fulton County residents are uninsured, which is roughly 2,000 people.
FCMC saw this as a unique opportunity to be able to lend its expertise to help the community. Anyone needing assistance comparing coverage, prices, benefits or would just like to know what insurance can do for you, please contact Michelle Baker, FCMC’s certified application counselor. She can be reached at 717- 485-2882 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. She is available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in the main lobby or by appointment.
