Mildred C. Williams Breezewood, 85
She was born on March 10, 1928, in Monroe Township, Bedford County; a daughter of the late Jacob and Lilly (Ward) Donivan. On March 19, 1946 in Cumberland, Md.; she was united in marriage to Frank D. Williams. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1978.
She is survived by seven children: Sara, married to Melvin Deremer, Breezewood; Duyane Williams, married to Debbie, Everett; Wilmer Williams, married to Regina, Channeysville, Pa.; Sandra, married to Melvin Burton, Breezewood; Sam Williams, married to Cindy, Breezewood; Ken Williams, married to Kimberly, Mattie, Pa.; Brenda, married to Rusty Beegle, Clearville, Pa.; a special friend: Wilbur “Bud” Leighty; daughter-inlaw, Debbie ( Calhoun) Williams, Everett; sisters: Eleanor Orr, Shippensburg; Shirley Kyle, Hagerstown, Md.; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Orville Williams; and the following siblings: Iva Grubb, Betty Cordell, Virginia Knight, Helen Dicken, Lena Shirley, Mabel Witt, Royal, Delmar, Carl and Jay Donivan.
She was a member of Everett Church of God for more than 50 years.
Throughout the years she was mainly a homemaker, caring for her family. She worked for 13 years as a janitor for Hardees and Family House in Breezewood.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family; they especially enjoyed her jelly, pies and homemade bread. Mildred had a special sense of humor, never met a stranger and could tell the best stories with great detail.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Everett Church of God. Pastor Gary Boor, Pastor William Kisner and Pastor John Bennett officiated. Burial was at Union Memorial Cemetery.
