Historical Society Awarded $5,000 Grant

For cooling, heating units

The Fulton County Historical Society was awarded a $5,000 grant administered by the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor earlier this year to install climate-control units in its Fulton House museum. The grant money orginated with the Environmental Stewardship Fund under the PA Department of Conservation and National Resources.

The grant, along with matching funds from the Historical Society, was used to install three climate-control units, one in the log cabin and two in the secondfloor museum rooms. The units installed provide cooling or heating, as required, and were in use this summer, providing a nice environment for museum visitors and museum workers.
