McConnellsburg girls soccer team and their coaches visited the Shanksville Flight 93 site on their way last week to a game in Meyersdale.

My Father’s House held special services last week with Alan Ross from Scotland as the guest speaker. It was also the church’s 14th anniversary.

Linda Lynch was taken to Harrisburg Hospital last week with heart complications and is now home recuperating.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Julia Strait who passed away last week.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Shania Gelvin, Forbes Road field hockey; Kylee Keefer, McConnellsburg volleyball; Patrick Keefer, Mc- Connellsburg soccer; and Sam Roberts, McConnellsburg soccer.

The descendants of the late Jacob and Bessie Clevenger had a gathering at St. Paul Lutheran Church Saturday. Around 25 attended.

Cito United Methodist Church held its annual fall outing at the Moore residence on Saturday evening. Members and guests enjoyed good food, a hayride and other activities.

Fulton Scottish Rite Club sponsored a trip to Renflo Valley 74th year of country music in Kentucky. Chaper- oning the trip were Jack and Ruby Fields.

Laurel Ridge Christian Church had special singing on Sunday by the Master’s Four.

A Western social night for folks over 60 was held Friday at Warfordsburg Senior Center. Western attire was worn and folks enjoyed music, dancing and good food.

Open Mic Night was held at Needmore Firehall and an open stage night was held at Hustontown Firehall on Saturday.
