Jeremy P. Whiteside Warfordsburg, 34

Jeremy Page “J.P.” Whiteside, 34, Warfordsburg, Pa., died on Friday, September 13, 2013, in Northern Cambria, Pa.

Born July 8, 1979, in Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of William Curtis and Sharon Louise Stahle Whiteside of Warfordsburg.

He was a Christian. He was a 1997 graduate of Southern Fulton High School in Warfordsburg and also attended Allegany Community College in Cumberland, Md. He was a sports enthusiast and an outstanding basketball player, garnering many accolades.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons: Nathaniel Paige Purnell of Little Orleans, Md., and Avery Carl Fletcher of Warfordsburg; one sister, Destane Nikole Morris and her husband, Justin, of Warfordsburg; three brothers: James Anthony Whiteside and his wife, Beth, of Accident, Md.; William Spencer Whiteside and Dylan Watson Whiteside, both of Warfordsburg; one niece, Isabel Grace Whiteside of Accident, Md.; two nephews: Gage William Morris and Carson David Morris, both of Warfordsburg; maternal grandparents Homer Watson and Doris Catherine Peck Stahle of Warfordsburg; paternal grandparents William Edward and Betty Louise Means Whiteside of Warfordsburg; maternal greatgrandmother, Ruby Fern Crist Peck of Needmore; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013, at Whips Cove Church, Warfordsburg. Pastor Delmas F. Bard officiated. Interment was private.

Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
