W. Pa. Woman Sentenced For Shooting

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (AP) – A judge sentenced an 18-year-old Pittsburgh-area woman to between five and 10 years in prison for fatally shooting a former High School football player.

Police say Destiny Brown, of Coraopolis, shot 19-yearold Marshawn Ptomey in McKees Rocks in May 2012 after he pushed her to the ground while he was fighting with Brown’s friend.

Brown pulled a .32-caliber revolver from her purse and fired two shots.
