Seniors Ride Scenic Train
Last month, 27 seniors from Warfordsburg Senior Center traveled to Cumberland and boarded the Western Maryland Railroad. They enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery of Western Maryland, which included the Helmstetter’s Curve, the Bone Cave, a 914-foot long tunnel that cuts through Piney Mountain, and the mile-long Gorge between Haystack and Wills Mountains, which is 1,000 feet deep. It was indeed a truly unforgettable journey.
