Naomi M. Clingerman Hancock, 79

Naomi Marion Clingerman, 79, Hancock, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at her home.

Born September 3, 1933, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma Pittman Coonrod.

She was the widow of Charles V. Clingerman, who died June 2, 2009. They were married December 24, 1953.

She was a member of Hancock Assembly of God.

She had been employed by Pittman’s Grocery in Hancock, and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed working in her gardens.

She is survived by two daughters: Sherry L. Reynolds and Betty L. Seavolt, both of Hancock; seven sisters: Alma Younker, Hancock; Anna Eaton and Martha Wilhide, both of Hagerstown; Wilda Reed, Clear Spring; Violet Geist, Hancock; Lois Shives, Williamsport; and JoAnn Blankley, Warfordsburg; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Singleton.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 31, at 11 a.m., at Hancock Assembly of God, Hancock. Rev. Don Preston officiated. Burial was made in Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Needmore.

Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, was in charge of arrangements.
