Gregory L. Banks, 38

Mapleton

Gregory L. “Greg” Banks, 38, Mapleton, died Monday, August 12, 2013, at Locust Grove Nursing Center, Miffln.

Born February 3, 1975, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Dale Banks of Mill Creek and Kathryn (Garber) and Robert Goodman of Alexandria. He was united in marriage to the former Tarena (Hardy) Banks April 21, 2007. His wife survives at their home.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Tierney Estep of Mapleton.

Also surviving are his two brothers: twin brother Gary Banks and wife Melinda, East Freedom, and William “Bill” Banks and companion Jodi McKee, Claysburg; and a sister, Connie Banks, and companion Tracy Decker, Warfordsburg.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a member of Mapleton American Legion Post No. 322 and Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Co.

He was a 1994 grduate of Juniata Valley High School and the former Huntingdon County Vo-Tech, where he studied in the building trades program.

He had been employed at Warnaco, Huntingdon, for 12 years.

He enjoyed country music and loved his two favorite dogs, Marley and Harley, both black labs.

Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton.

Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, was in charge of arrangements.
