Ronald E. Harr Needmore, 61
Ronald E. Harr, 61, Needmore, Pa., died Friday, August 2, 2013, at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va.
He was born in Warfordsburg, May 6, 1952, the son of the late David W. and Ethel (Keefer) Harr.
He served in the U. S. Army as a SP4 in the Vietnam War and was a member of Needmore Volunteer Fire Co., where he was with the rescue squad. He was a truck driver and also did small engine repairs.
He is survived by a son, Kyle E. Harr, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., sisters: Jane Manley, Needmore; Blanche Pine, Mercersburg; Helene Weller, Warfordsburg; Doris Carbaugh, Warfordsburg; a brother, Jobie Harr of Needmore; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters: Agnes Gress and Grace Souders; a brother, Kenneth Harr Sr.; half-sisters: Hazel Hiles and Betty Chesnut; and companion Barbara Stegs.
Graveside service were held at Union Cemetery, Mc- Connellsburg, at 11 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013. Pastor Dick Bernhard officiated.
Military services were conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
