Wanda J. Whitfield Everett, 70

Wanda J. Whitfield, 70, Everett, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 25, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., a daughter of the late Harold and Marie “Betty” McFarland.

On November 24, 1962, in Cumberland, Md., she married Gary Whitfield.

She is survived by her husband and four children: Barbara and husband Harry Hanks, Everett; Gregory Whitfield of Breezewood; Tracie and husband Trevor P. Pittman, Everett; and Kristie A. Bardell, Bedford; five grandchildren: Laura Harbaugh and husband Michael; Bryan Whitfield and wife Julie; Kelli Whitfield, Derek Eshelman and Elleigh Pittman; and three greatgrandsons: Owen, Layne and Luke Whitfield.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Whitfield.

She was a member of Breezewood United Methodist Church.

She was a 1961 graduate of Everett Area High School and was actively involved in the Crystal Spring Campground. She was employed at Weyants’ TV, Everett, as sales and office personnel for many years.

She enjoyed reading and shopping. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Lyndall Wilt, and cherished the time spent with her family. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 31, at 11 a.m., in the chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Everett. Rev. Jonathan Morningstar and Pastor Debi Decker officiated. Burial was at Providence Church Cemetery, Everett.
