Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend. It was good to get out and enjoy it.

It won’t be long until the Fulton County Fair and then it’s back to school for children and teachers.

A group of family and friends gathered at the home of Danny and Brooke Sheeder on Sunday to help celebrate daughter Emma Grace’s first birthday. All had a nice time and good food.

A nice crowd attended the auction up at Sam’s on Route 30 Saturday evening. It’s a good place to spend an evening. We send speedy recovery wishes to Sam who is still in the hospital.

Congratulations to Bobby Bennett on receiving his police officer award for the area.

Everyone is welcome to Knobsville and Fairview United Methodist churches to hear our new minister, Betty Sevett.

Some folks up at the end of town are trying to get situated in their new homes since their old homes will be going to give a place for the new highway.

Household Hint: Prevent crystals. Before returning an opened carton of ice cream to the freezer press plastic wrap onto the surface of the ice cream to prevent crystals from forming.
