Fred R. Black Waterfall, 76
Fred Richard Black, 76, Waterfall, died at 12:38 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Pennknoll Village, Everett.
Born May 10, 1937, in Clay Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late Cloyd Patrick and Hazel (Evans) Black. He was married to Helen Peddigree Smallman on May 27, 1995. She survives at their home.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Scott Black and wife Benita, Ambler, Pa.; Victoria Seal and husband Andrew, Lansdale, Pa.; and Keith Black and wife Melanie, Maple Glenn, Pa.; three brothers: Charles E. Black and wife Judy, Breezewood; L. Dale Black and wife Kaye, Connellsville, Pa.; and Rex S. Black and wife Dawn, Hustontown; eight grandchildren; two stepchildren: Andrew Smallman and wife Joyce, Abington, Pa., and Barbara Cunningham and husband Patrick, Conshohocken, Pa.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie, and a brother, Donald Patrick Black.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1956 to 1958.
An employee of the former Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Co. of Houston, Texas, he traveled to Germany, Italy and other areas as an inspection team leader.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013, at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown.
