Robert Neville Broad Top City, 61

Robert “Cook” Neville, 61, of Broad Top City, Pa., died unexpectedly Thursday, July 4, 2013, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Broad Top City, Pa., April 14, 1952, a son of the late Marjorie V. (Black) and John H. Neville.

He currently worked for Petro-Choice in Riddlesburg as a delivery driver. He was previously employed by L.S. Lee and H.J. Williams Construction.

He was a 1970 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and was a member of Watson and Black Post #126 American Legion in Broad Top City, Broad Top Land Lease, Saxton Sportsman Assoc., Hopewell VFW, and Down River Golf Course. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, who were very special to him.

He is survived by four sisters: Agnes Neville, Joan Diehl, Wanda, (wife of Fred) Pederson, Claudia, (wife of Jim) Brindle, and seven brothers: Jim, (husband of Shirley) Neville, Herb, (husband of Dena) Neville, Gene, (husband of Janet) Neville, Tom, (husband of Cindy) Neville, Dan, (husband of Colleen) Neville, Bill, (husband of Cindy) Neville, and John Wayne, (husband of Sandy) Neville. He is also survived by Mike Neville, (husband of Karen), Vicki Miller, Tommi Ann Morningstar (wife of Scott), who were reared in the Neville home.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Troy Killian, and a brother-in-law, Earl “June” Diehl.

Funeral services were held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 9. Pastor Steve Oberman officiated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., PO Box 214, Broad Top City, PA 16621 to help establish a youth fishing rodeo that Cook was in the process of getting started.
