Police Investigate Suspicious Fires In Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Authorities in Harrisburg are investigating two suspicious fires that broke out overnight in vacant row homes, displacing 18 people.
Dispatchers say the first blaze broke out around 12:30 a.m. Monday and that the second was reported around 1 a.m. Police say both fires appear to be suspicious.
While the fires started in vacant homes, officials say they’ve displaced about 18 people nearby. The American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley says it’s assisting 13 adults and five children who are affected.
No injuries have been reported.
