2 Rescued After Boat Capsizes On Central Pa. River
YORK, Pa. (AP) – Two people have been rescued after their canoe capsized on the rain-swollen Susquehanna River in central Pennsylvania.
Rescue workers in York say they received a call from shore Sunday afternoon after someone saw the boaters struggling. They had been canoeing when their boat was flipped by a rush of water as the river swelled amid storms that swept across the region. Susquehanna Fire Co. officials say the two were rescued after about 20 minutes.
Their names were not released and no injuries were reported.
