Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

Hope everyone had a nice Fourth of July holiday weekend.

July is giving some of those warm temperatures, but dog days started July 3 so this is just typical weather.

We welcomed our new pastor,

Jean Swivet, at Knobsville and Fairview on Sunday.

It was good to have Peter and Judy Ruschuk of Arizonia with us at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday.

Arthur and Deborah Strait have moved to their new home, and Clara Mae Strait moved into her new home, which was Arthur and Deb’s house.

Fairview United Methodist Church will have its ice cream social on Saturday, July 20, at 4 p.m.

It was good to have other new folks back to Knobsville United Methodist Church for Sunday morning services.

Aaron Shotts is preparing for his mission to Guatemala at the end of July. We wish him a safe trip.

A nice crowd attended Sam’s Auction up on Route 30 Saturday evening. It’s always a good place to spend Saturday evening.

Visitors with Kate Berkstresser on Monday were the Fegleys from Ohio and Martha Berkstresser.

Household Hint: If you need to pretreat greasy or oily stains while travelling, try using a clear gel or liquid shampoo that doesn’t contain oxides.
