Summer has approached bringing the warm weather, but the weekend was really nice.

Your correspondent has had a sad week due to the loss of a son, Harold Berkstresser, but with the Master’s help we will get through it, we hope.

Also, our pastor, Bill Kuhn, and wife Joan are moving to their new area. They will be greatly missed, and we wish them both the best in their retirement.

Pastor Bill and Joan Kuhn and also Clara Mae Strait visited with Kate Berkstresser on Saturday evening.

Happy birthday wishes to Robert Bennett on June 26.

Helen Clusman of Mc- Connellsburg visited Kate Berkstresser last week.

Clara Mae Strait is moving gradually to her new home due to the highway taking the area of her house.

Sorry to hear Audrey Cutchall was taken to the hospital. We hope she will be better soon.

In talking with Don Berkstreser of Needmore, he says he still has some physical problems bothering him, so we send get well wishes to him and Belle Berkstresser both.

June Bennett spent Monday with her mother, Kate, due to her brother’s death.

Robert Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. James Bennett of Carlisle and Barbara Torcasco of Harrisburg came later on Monday to attend the funeral of Harold.

Household Hint: To make sweaters soft add a capful of cream hair rinse to the rinse water.
