The weather presented a nice Father’s Day. Hope all you fathers enjoyed a meal out with family and had a nice day.

The family of the late Herbert and Kate Berkstresser gathered at the Forbes Road Lions Club Park for a reunion over the weekend. Members of the family came from Carlisle, Urbana, Md., Mcconnellsburg, Duquesne and Bedford. All enjoyed a great afternoon.

This Sunday was the last day for Pastor Bill and Joan Kuhn to have services at Fairview and Knobsville churches. We are going to miss them both but wish them the best as they enjoy retirement.

Speedy get well wishes to David Englert who undrewent surgery for his shoulder on Monday.

Tristan Gelvin left Wednesday for Greenville, N.C., with Flood City Elite 17U baseball team. Games are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday and championship games on Sunday.

Household Hint: When windows stick. Never strain to open a window again! Your windows won’t stick if you apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to the window tracks. Just brush it on with a small paint brush. Try this method with sticking drawers and cabinet doors too.
