Court Session Held June 4
Senior Judge John R. Walker of the 39th Judicial District and the Fulton/ Franklin County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session held at the Fulton County Courthouse on Tuesday, June 4.
Paul Shane M. DeShong appeared for sentencing on three cases involving delivery and possession of a controlled substance as well as theft by unlawful taking. DeShong also appeared for formal arraignment on charges of retail theft. He was remanded to the Department of Corrections for evaluation and possible participation in the state intermediate punishment program.
Kevin Russell Kyler was sentenced to between 30 days and six months in the Franklin County Jail on charges of driving under the influence. Kyler will be paroled upon completion of the minimum sentence. He will pay a $300 fine as well as other fees.
Jesse Lee Gibson waived formal arraignment proceedings held last Tuesday on charges of theft by unlawful taking. Gibson entered a guilty plea and will be sentenced on July 30.
Francis Strong Kling waived arraignment on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and two summary offenses. Kling was ordered to 12 months probation, 30 hours of community service and will lose driving privileges for a 30-day period. Kling must also pay various fines and fees, which include $75 to both the county and the commonwealth.
James Neal Spears II was scheduled for arraignment on one count each of burglary and receiving stolen property and two counts of theft.
Timothy Wayne Spoonhour entered a not-guilty plea to terroristic threats and harassment. He will next appear in court on July 9 for call of the criminal trial list.
